Now onto the hard mode 'The Horror' - I like the idea in theory, but it seems incredibly unbalanced. Lighting fixes are a nice welcome and I love the new effect when jumping into the blood. (I understand this is a Beta and this will likely be changed, since it seems a bit overpowered). It don't eat up the voodoo/magic meter either, making it more reliable than the early weapons. I used it on a save file at Shadow Level 9 and was running around killing Asylum enemies with just a few shots. It actually looks like it came from the original game now.ĭoes the new voodoo item do more damage by the more dark souls you collect? It seems very powerful. A great improvement with the Asylum looming to the north. I also love how the Seraph Queen little arena room looks now. I like it more than the Yort battle cause Yort is so big and if you aren't constantly circle-strafing, his tail attack will knock you into the lava. She is quite tricky at first due to how she disappears, but overall I enjoyed this fight. I've been playing it again, and some of my thoughts.
